Travelers of Florida, operating out of Tampa, Florida, is a Travelers affiliate established in 1996 to operate exclusively in the state of Florida and respond to the special needs of Florida residents. Travelers of Florida offers a broad range of personal insurance products through local independent agents. These products include coverage for automobiles, homes, personal liability (umbrella) and other personal property. Travelers of Florida customers also benefit from the companies 24/7/365 claim service and strong financial ratings.
Our Homeowners and other property policies are underwritten by First Floridian Auto and Home Insurance Company, which is licensed to write only in Florida. Our automobile insurance polices may be underwritten either by First Floridian or by The Travelers Home and Marine Insurance Company. Flood insurance is underwritten by The Standard Fire Insurance Company. It is important to note that First Floridian Auto and Home Insurance Company is a separate and distinct company from all other Travelers and St. Paul Travelers companies. This means that the Homeowners, Homesaver and other property and auto insurance products provided by First Floridian are not underwritten or guaranteed by The Travelers Home and Marine Insurance Company, The Standard Fire Insurance Company, or any other Travelers or St. Paul Travelers company.
